1. _I_n_t_r_o_d_u_c_t_i_o_n
This document describes the features of Release 1.1.1 of the
NetWare client software option for IRIX. The NetWare client
option includes the NetWare client software and NetWare IPX
stack.
This document contains the following chapters:

1.1 _W_h_a_t__i_s__N_e_t_W_a_r_e__c_l_i_e_n_t__a_n_d__w_h_y__d_o__I__n_e_e_d__i_t
The NetWare client is a software package that communicates
with the NetWare server to provide access to the NetWare
filesystems and functions. Without the NetWare client
product you will not be able to access the NetWare server.
Along with the basic file-sharing features provided by the
NetWare client software, the NetWare client software also
allows you to print files to the Netware print queue.
The software is supported on 2 network types, Ethernet and
Fast Ethernet.

1.3 _O_n_l_i_n_e__R_e_l_e_a_s_e__N_o_t_e_s
After you install the online release notes for a product
(the _r_e_l_n_o_t_e_s subsystem), you can view the release notes on
your screen.
Note: You can read the online release notes for most
products before installing the software. Refer to
the booklet in your CD-ROM case for more information.
If you have a graphics system, select ``Release Notes'' from
the Help submenu of the Toolchest. This displays the
_g_r_e_l_n_o_t_e_s(1) graphical browser for the online release notes.
Refer to the _g_r_e_l_n_o_t_e_s(1) man page for information on
options to this command.
If you do not have a graphics system, you can use the
_r_e_l_n_o_t_e_s command. Refer to the _r_e_l_n_o_t_e_s(1) man page for
accessing the online release notes.
